Dacoit Box Office Day 2: Adivi Sesh–Mrunal Thakur Film Holds Steady, Crosses ₹7 Crore India Net

The action thriller Dacoit, starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, is showing a stable trend at the box office. After a solid opening, the film continues to hold its ground on Day 2 with consistent numbers across key regions.

Dacoit Box Office Collection Day 2

After a ₹13.57 crore worldwide opening, the film added approximately ₹0.53 crore net in India on Day 2 (early estimates). This takes its total India net collection to ₹7.03 crore, while the India gross stands at around ₹8.19 crore.

The steady performance indicates that Dacoit is maintaining audience interest, especially in its core markets.

Opening Day Recap

On Day 1, the film earned around ₹6.50 crore net in India from nearly 3,800 shows. International markets contributed close to ₹6 crore, pushing the worldwide total to ₹13.57 crore.

This marks a strong start for the film, especially when compared to previous outings of Adivi Sesh.

Theatre Occupancy and Regional Trends

The Telugu version continues to drive the film’s performance, with occupancy improving throughout the day. Morning shows began at 30.54% and climbed to nearly 55% by night shows.

Hyderabad emerged as the top-performing market, recording an impressive 60.3% occupancy across 353 shows. Bengaluru also contributed well with 236 shows and an average occupancy of around 27%.

However, the Hindi version saw a relatively slower response, with overall occupancy hovering around 17.83%.

Region-wise, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana dominated collections with approximately ₹5.50 crore gross on Day 1. Karnataka added around ₹80 lakh, while the rest of India contributed about ₹1.10 crore.

The film witnessed limited traction in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, collecting roughly ₹15 lakh and ₹2 lakh, respectively.

About the Film

Dacoit follows the story of a fugitive who escapes prison seeking revenge against his former lover. As events spiral out of control, he is forced to confront complex moral choices in a narrative packed with action, emotion, and survival drama.

Released simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, the film blends intense storytelling with commercial elements, appealing strongly to mass audiences.

Box Office Comparison

Compared to HIT 2, which opened at around ₹6.4 crore, Dacoit has taken a slightly better start. It also outperforms Major, which had a limited release window.

For Mrunal Thakur, the film has done better than Do Deewane Seher Mein, though it still trails behind the opening of Son of Sardaar 2.

Verdict

With a steady hold on Day 2 and strong regional support, Dacoit is on a stable path at the box office. The real test now lies in its weekend growth—if momentum builds, the film could emerge as a solid performer in the coming days.
