The much-awaited sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge is already making headlines ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026. With a massive runtime of 235 minutes (3 hours and 55 minutes), the film has generated extraordinary excitement among audiences across India and overseas.

Due to overwhelming demand, several cinemas have started scheduling post-midnight and early-morning shows even before the official release. This move highlights the strong anticipation surrounding the film and the massive response from moviegoers.

Theaters Add Late-Night and Early-Morning Shows

According to industry reports, multiplex chains in major cities such as Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad have opened bookings for shows starting as early as 2:00 AM. Popular venues including MovieMax Sion and MovieMax Wonder Mall in Thane have scheduled multiple screenings between 2:15 AM and 5:30 AM to manage the growing demand.

Exhibition sources suggest that more cinemas may soon adopt a 24-hour screening model as ticket bookings continue to rise ahead of the release.

Historic Change at Maratha Mandir

The film’s long runtime has also resulted in a rare scheduling change at Mumbai’s iconic Maratha Mandir cinema. The legendary Bollywood classic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ), which has been running in the 11:30 AM slot for decades, will temporarily shift to 10:00 AM starting March 18.

This adjustment allows the theater to screen Dhurandhar: The Revenge three times a day at 1:15 PM, 5:30 PM, and 9:45 PM. While similar schedule adjustments have occurred during major releases in the past, shifting the historic DDLJ slot remains a rare event for the legendary single-screen theater.

Advance Booking Numbers Cross ₹123 Crore Globally

The film is already witnessing an impressive performance in advance bookings. The paid preview shows scheduled for March 18 have generated around ₹38.50 crore in ticket sales.

For the official opening day on March 19, domestic advance bookings have crossed ₹24.50 crore, with more than 6.25 lakh tickets sold across 13,000+ shows in India.

International markets are also contributing strongly, with overseas pre-sales estimated at approximately ₹60 crore for the opening weekend.

When combining the preview collections, Day 1 advance sales, and overseas bookings, the global opening weekend pre-sales for Dhurandhar: The Revenge have already crossed ₹123 crore, including block bookings.

With two days still remaining before its official release, industry experts believe the numbers will continue to rise as more midnight and early-morning shows are added across major cinema chains.
