The makers of Ustaad Bhagat Singh have released the much-awaited trailer of the upcoming action entertainer starring Pawan Kalyan. Directed by Harish Shankar, the film is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh trailer showcases Pawan Kalyan in fiery cop role

The 2-minute and 14-second trailer introduces Pawan Kalyan as Bhagat Singh, a fearless and upright police officer who fights against injustice despite overwhelming challenges.

The film also includes a romantic subplot featuring the female leads Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna, adding emotional depth alongside the action-packed narrative.

Music and background score promise a high-energy experience

The movie features energetic songs composed by Devi Sri Prasad, while the background score is handled by Thaman S. The music and score appear to amplify the film’s action-heavy tone and emotional moments.

Reports suggest that the story revolves around a young man inspired by his teacher, who names him Bhagat Singh and instills strong values in him. Growing up with a strong sense of justice, he eventually stands up against powerful enemies.

Release date advanced ahead of major box office clash

Initially, Ustaad Bhagat Singh was planned for release on March 26, 2026. However, the makers later advanced the release date after Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups postponed its premiere.

The film features an ensemble cast including Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, R. Parthiban, Rajeev Kanakala, BS Avinash, Posani Krishna Murali, and Gautami in key roles.

Not a remake of Vijay’s Theri, clarifies director

Earlier speculation suggested that the film might be a remake of Thalapathy Vijay’s Theri. However, director Harish Shankar has reportedly dismissed these rumors and clarified that the project has its own storyline.

Pawan Kalyan was last seen in the gangster action film They Call Him OG, directed by Sujeeth.
